Dan, you are overlooking a very big point here. And that is that God himself inspired the authors, but he himself did not physically write them. Just as if your father, the Police Officer, told four other people to write his report for him. He would tell them, and they would in turn write down what they believed were the important details. And if each of the people he told the report to were from different backgrounds, the important details would be relayed from each of their different perspectives. If one was a doctor, he would focus on the medical aspects. If one was an accountant, he would focus on the monetary aspects, etc.
